Illegal Affair - Volume I II and III

“I guess this is it.” Shane mumbled.

Raelynn’s gaze slipped over and her vision focused on his shadowy profile. Very little light seeped in the car from the passenger windows. Still she ached with sympathy over the sight of the bruising to the side of his face, and the shared disappointment in his voice over their parting. He wore a baseball cap with the bib turned to the back of his head covering his dark locks of hair. He stared at his apartment building and made no move to open the door.

Would the night of passion she shared with him end here? It had to, she told herself. Even now he refused to discuss the trouble with Ian Higgins. Raelynn didn’t know if she could help him even if he did come clean. The facts were clear. Shane either robbed the bank, or had something to do with the robbery. He was in too deep.

Did she like him? Yes. Did she enjoy the passionate sex they shared? Yes. Did she want to see him again, take him home to meet her family, make him her main guy? No. This would definitely be the end. The next time she saw Shane Lafferty she would likely be placing him in handcuffs.

“I wish you’d consider my help. I know you’re in something deep. I can only promise you it will get worse.”

Shane reached for her. Raelynn moved her face and avoided his touch. Blood pounded in her brain, leapt from her heart, and made her hands tremble with the need to return his affection. So she gripped both hands tightly to the steering wheel for control. “Please go Shane.”

He hesitated and she looked over just in time to receive his kiss. At first she thought to pull away, but the sample of his tongue and the feel of his mouth covering hers weakened her resistance. Her emotions whirled and skidded over the implications of her behavior. The grip to the steering wheel loosened. Raelynn touched his face gently; careful of his bruising she deepened the kiss. His hand unbuttoned the top of her blouse, his fingers were icy but his palm was fiery hot when it slipped inside to cup her breast and squeeze. Shivers of delight followed once his tongue swept in and flicked at the roof of her mouth, and the kiss hurled them toward another and another. She remained shocked by her own eager response to his passion for her, and did little to resist. Raelynn leaned forward and enjoyed the pinch to her tightly swollen nipple. Why did he have to be Shane Lafferty? Why not some mechanic, or schoolteacher, a regular guy she could enjoy for as long as the flames of desire burned between them?

Shane stopped. Nose to nose he panted for breath and so did she. Then he took her mouth with savage mastery, shocking the air from her lungs. Raelynn had been forced back into the door with the seatbelt as the only barrier between them. She grabbed his leather jacket and held on. Damn his lips were warm and sweet over hers. She’d never been so aroused from a kiss. The inner folds of her sex grew moist and swollen with need.

“Stop!” she tore her mouth from his.

Shane finally withdrew, and the pain over her rejection made his face flush and his eyes narrow angrily. But it soon passed. In his eyes she found understanding and a hint of sad resolve.

“Nice knowing you beautiful.” He reached for the door.

Raelynn grabbed his arm. “Please. Let me try to help you.”

“You have Rae. More than you can ever know. Don’t come to the gym, don’t come around here, and don’t get in Ian Higgins’s way. You see me Rae you go the other way, unless you coming for me for other reasons. Okay?”

She sighed. “Then this is bye.”

“Right. Bye.” He mumbled and got out. He opened the back door snatched up his gym bag and tossed it shut. He never looked back at the car. Instead long legs bounded up the steps to his apartment building. She rubbed her lips, now pouty and swollen from his kiss.

“Bye Shane.”
