Description
Nancy and Bill were highschool sweethearts who expected to spend their lives together until her family moved away and they thought they would never be together again. When a chance encounter at a high school reunion brings them back together, they engage in a love affair that threatens to tear her marriage apart until she decides to end things. Heartbroken, Bill suffers a stroke and moves to a remote mountain cabin where he pens love letters to Nancy and still wonders if they will ever be together. When her husband dies of cancer, Nancy ventures to Sunset Hill to see her one true love. After all these years, will Bill welcome her with open arms, or has he moved on? Excerpt:
Dear Nancy,Hi, it's me, and here I am again sitting alone, daydreaming about you, with dreams that leave a smile in my heart. I keep that book you gave me on my desk and read and reread it from time to time. God, how I do wish you were here every time I stop to write to you. I don't think we will ever stop thinking about each other. I don't know about you, but for me, I don't want to stop thinking, wondering, writing and loving you. I too believe this love we have found or renewed (I have loved you for 25 years) is rare, even unique. I know you have other things, your husband, your family, your job to think about, and your time is almost all taken. I only wish you would drop a line or two in the mail to me from time to time. I'd like to continue to think I'm in your thoughts, as you are in my thoughts and in my heart constantly. No, not constantly, that's an exaggeration - often. That's better.
