Excerpt:
Chapter One Friday night had become a tradition at Shawn’s house. Every Friday night, four of his best gay friends would get together and just play. It was a night of lewd jokes, a little gambling and a whole lot of drinking games. Rick set the case of beer on the kitchen counter. “I got my lucky beer. Ready to lose, Shawn?” “In your dreams.” Rick kept his tongue in cheek and smiled. He’d had more than a few wet dreams about his handsome black friend, but he wasn’t about to admit a single one of them. The man had a beautiful body but he was too cocky to get anywhere near in bed. He was so full of himself, Rick knew he wouldn’t ever feel the slide of his cock inside of him. He couldn’t stand egotistical men. The other guys arrived shortly after he did and settle in, after depositing their food offering on the counter next to the beer. They traded in their money for chips and set down at the table to play their twenty bucks away. It was great if he could come out a winner, but in Rick’s short experience Shawn was the guy to lay his bet on. That man knew when to fold them or hold the cards. He could read the other men at the table like an open book either that or he was cheating. Damn, but Rick hoped it wasn’t the latter. After attending a few months, he was getting pretty good himself at reading Shawn. He noticed every time the man was bluffing, he had a movement he stayed true to. Shawn liked to rub his chin thoughtfully and tonight Rick was prepared to go all in and see if his suspicions were right. It would be fun to see Shawn get his comeuppance at poker night for once. He certainly liked to rub it in if he was the winner, flashing his cash and sticking it to the other guys.
