Description
Even though it's only been a week since Rachel headed to London to find her brother, she knows her life will never be the same. Everything she thought she knew--she didn't.

The search for her brother has been more than a little difficult, and then there was the whole betrayal thing by someone she really wanted to trust. Funny how Rose didn't mention that Jonah was her son.

Rachel's gone through a lot to find her brother; now she's been thrown into a cage, and the minutes are ticking away. She's praying for a miracle, but could this actually be the end?

The End

I can't find the energy to fight anymore. I should be kicking and screaming until my throat is raw. I've lost. In the end it doesn't matter what I've done, I trusted the wrong person and now I'm going to pay the price.

I'm outnumbered, boxed in by three people but their three impossibly scary people. The man, who has a grip so hard he'll leave bruises, is Jonas. It's hard to believe that I first met him a couple of days ago. I thought he was a lawyer, judging from the suit he'd been wearing. The truth was a hell of a lot scarier. He's an Alpha, a genetic wolf powerful enough to lead other wolves. Henry told me that he was changing humans so he could build an army. The current Alpha of London, a man called Arturo, is someone that I haven't met yet. At this rate I'd probably never met him. The only woman in the three is called Rose, and she betrayed us. She runs a hotel with her son Colin and I thought that she was nice, until about five minutes ago. Somewhere behind me is Colin, the man has a head so bald it shines whenever light hits it.

Rose had told me, that when she'd been younger she had fallen in love with a wolf. But for whatever reason it hadn't worked out. She'd neglected to tell me that she'd gotten pregnant and the insane Alpha that was holding my arm was her son.

The next room is filled with werewolves. I know that they would prefer I run, because all it will take is one bite, a small nick and the thing making me a genetic wolf will be triggered.

But it's only a matter of time, bitten while running or waiting for Jonas to turn me. I'm not looking forward to either. How could I have been so stupid to walk into a trap?

The howls seem to follow us; as we leave my brother in his cage. I've had to do a lot to find him; the brother that I thought was dead. The last time I saw him, without the aid of a TV, had been five years ago. I remember watching the argument between him and my parents. For months he'd been acting weird, distant. From my perch at the top of the stairs I'd heard Mum ask, is it drugs? He denied it. At the time, obviously neither of them believed him.

Then he'd disappeared.

I now knew why he'd left, and now I knew the truth. I'm not human. I've inherited a little genetic twist I picked up from my Mum. She'd had hoped that she'd never have to tell us the truth. That she could protect us.

That obviously had been a bad choice.
