Excerpt:
Music pumped through the speakers, growing louder as the MC dimmed the clublights and brightened the stages. He announced the first three girls, all came out in various stripper costumes with capes or jackets and other things to peel off and entice the crowd. Mason watched the faces of the men light up when the girls strutted down the runway toward the poles. His eyes swept west, making contact with Cam at the bar. They nodded to each other. Then he caught sight of the new girl again. A flicker of familiarity rode up his spine. He'd seen her before. Lips tight, Mason averted his attention to the stages, willing himself not to turn back and stare. He had time to let his mind find the answer. Half an hour and three new dancers later, Mason noticed the new girl taking more customers as the place started to pack. She came near the VIP section twice, but moved so fast he didn't get a good look at her face. Mason downed another glass of wine, draining the bottle faster than normal. He hated unsolved puzzles. He wanted to know where he'd seen her to the point it annoyed him.
